Information Included in the Bowflex Manual

Before you start using your Bowflex, it is going to be important for you to read through your Bowflex manual, to make sure that you understand the different parts on the machine and how they all work. This is going to ensure not only that you have the best work out and get the best results, but also that you will not be putting yourself at risk of injury.

The Workout Bench

The workout bench is one of the major parts of the Bowflex machine. The Bowflex manual describes the workout bench in detail and how you use it properly.

The quick release bench is the long portion of your bench. It attaches to and releases from the seat portion very easy, to make changing it up as quick and easy for you as possible. To attach it all you need to do is simply insert the half hinge on the end of the bench into the half hinge on the seat, and then for standing exercises you simply remove the bench by lifting up on the long portion and pulling it away from the seat.

Regular Grip

Also described in the Bowflex manual is the regular grip on the machine. You simply grasp the handle and then cuff together to form a grip without inserting your hand through the cuff portion. Most of the exercises you will complete on the Bowflex will use this hand grip so it is important you are aware on the proper way to use it.

Leg Extension/Leg Curl Attachment

Also described in the Bowflex manual is the leg extension/leg curl attachment on the machine. This is a gym-quality attachment that helps you to develop strong, toned, muscular legs. To do a seated leg extension, all you need to do is place the hooks on the leg extension seat attachment over the posts at the top of the leg extension and place the cross brace on the seat frame in the bracket behind the sliding seat.

All the parts on the Bowflex will be easy to use as long as you read the Bowflex manual and know how to properly use them. The manual is very well written and easy to read, so you do not have to be experienced in the fitness world to be able to navigate through it. Rather than waiting until you have a problem you should read through the manual first so that you will already be aware of how to do everything.
