Such instances cause the muscles to either strain or get torn thus becoming inflamed and is thus a simple causes of lower back pain which can be explained when one considers that inflammation will promote muscle spasms and also restricts movement.

A herniated disk can also be considered among the causes of lower back pain since the discs in the spine, which are normally shock absorbers that provides a cushion to the bones when a person moves, can slip forward in the lower back and thus lead to lower back pain.
