Dealing With Excessive Armpit Sweating

Excessive armpit sweating is a medical condition that is also known as hyperhydrosis, and which is typically a result of an over activity of sweat glands. Excessive armpit sweating can also be caused by an uncontrolled working of the nervous system, and it can occur on many areas of the body, including the face, hands and feet in particular.

Causes of Excessive Armpit Sweating

There are actually quite a few different factors that can be causes of your excessive armpit sweating, one in particular being a problem with the sweat glands. There are two kinds of sweat glands that produce excessive armpit perspiration, which are eccrine and apocrine. Eccrine sweat glands are ones which are distributed all over the human body, and which produce sweat that is mostly composed of water with various salts.

The apocrine sweat glands are those which develop during the early to mid puberty stages and which release more than normal amounts of sweat for approximately a month and then regulate themselves and begin only releasing normal amounts of sweat after a certain period of time. These sweat glands are located wherever there is body hair on the body and they produce sweat that contains fatty materials, and are mainly present in the armpits and around the genital area.

The Problem

Most people who suffer from excessive armpit sweating also suffer from other sweating problems, and this list can actually be quite long and includes other places on the body such as the genital area, the toes of your feet, your palms, forehead and even the face area. Excessive armpit sweating is considered as being the most common and serious form of sweating, and thus the one which most people tend to be largely concerned with.

Treatment

When it comes to treatment for excessive sweating of the armpits there are a few different options that you have. You will want to consider all available options before deciding on any one so that you can properly determine which would be the best choice for you.

There are some people who would immediately go straight for the products that are available in supermarkets and convenience stores, and then there are others who prefer natural or alternative methods of treatment for their sweating problem. For the people who would rather use a natural way to control their excessive sweating, there are a number of ways to do so.

Just make sure that you consult with your doctor first before trying any method of treatment, regardless of whether it seems safe or not, so that you can be sure that you will not be putting yourself in harm.
