Should You Buy A Hot Tub Spa For Your Garden?

Picture this - the next time you enjoy a spell of warm sunny weather, you could be firing up the barbeque and turning on the hot tub at the same time.

There's no doubt that a hot tub spa is a desirable addition to any garden, but it can be an expensive buy, so it's worthwhile to figure out how much you would use it before splashing out the cash.

What Size Hot Tub Spa Should You Buy?

A hot tub spa can be bought in many different sizes, all of which are designed for a certain number of people to sit or recline in.

If you are looking at a hot tub spa in a large open showroom, it will look smaller than it actually is, so be sure you don't get caught up in the romance of the idea and buy a hot tub spa without taking proper measurements first.

You should also decide where in the garden you would like to install your hot tub spa. An ideal spot would be partly shady and ideally obscured from the view of your neighbors. Some people build a structure around their hot tub to provide more privacy, but this does of course add considerably more to the cost. This applies regardless of whether you buy a pre-made design or buy the materials to design and build one yourself.

Think about how many people are likely to use your hot tub spa as well. It would be wonderful to have a huge model that everyone can use at the same time, but in reality this may happen once in a blue moon. A smaller model will still be adequate and a lot easier on your pocket as well.

If you are about to re-design your garden and you've been considering buying a hot tub, this would be the ideal time to take the plunge. It can be a lot easier to install a hot tub as part of an overall design than it is to try and incorporate one into your existing garden.

You'll have the opportunity to pick the ideal spot and perhaps build a deck around it, to lower the level of the hot tub itself if desired, instead of setting it on top of an existing deck.

A hot tub spa can be a great addition to any garden, and with the proper preparation you'll have a tub to enjoy for many years to come.
