Ladies Golf Clubs Require Similar Engineering As Mens



There is more to ladies golf clubs that feminine colors on the heads and grips, many are the same as those for men, but the weighting may be slightly different to allow for the different swing styles experienced by some female players. The weekly tours may not receive the national attention as some other sports, but the quality of the game, thanks to their talent as well as the designs of ladies golf clubs, puts them on the same professional level as other sports.



Famous Names Help Grow Ladies Golf

Names like Nancy Lopez, Dottie Mochrie and Kathy Whitworth stand out as some of the champions from the early days of LPGA events. Through 1961, the big prize was the Vare Trophy; Babe Zaharias had the most wins in 1950 and 1951 and also led the money winners with around $15,000 both years. Nancy Lopez remains on the top 20-career money winners list despite being out of the circuit for about 20 years.

Other than perhaps the style or color of the bag, looking inside it will be hard to tell the difference in ladies golf clubs and mens, as they carry the same clubs. Most golf rules pertaining to men also pertain to the ladies and they are responsible for knowing the rules as well as the size and weight limitation place on ladies golf clubs and the number they are allowed to have their bag during tournament play.
