Longevity is a term that refers to long life or a great duration of life, and although there is no single solution or way to get this longevity, there are many different things that you can do in order to get as much longevity as you can.

Eat Right

Eating right is one of the very best things that you can do to gain longevity, and in particular you want to increase your fiber and water intake. Water is especially important because even slight dehydration can raise stress hormones and this can cause a lot of damage to your skin as well as your brain. You should also start including green and other types of teas into your diet, as these offer antioxidants which will help give you longevity as well.

Exercise

Of course as you have always heard, exercise is very important. Exercise should be a major part of anyone's life, and more than anything cardiovascular activity should be a regular part of your day. If you are looking for longevity then exercise is going to be even more important, as cardiovascular activity helps to lower blood pressure and cholesterol as well as burn more calories and keep your weight down.

The skeletal system for one can be strengthened greatly by weight bearing activities as well, such as fast walking and jogging, and this will not only assist in reducing the risk for developing osteoporosis but as well can help to slow down the progress of the disease.



Be Happy

Even just doing the most seemingly simple things, like laughing and smiling, can help give you longevity and make you feel and look healthier and happier. Also when you are happy you are less likely to do detrimental things for your health and therefore are less likely to put on weight or let yourself go down the wrong path, namely by eating junk like sugary and fatty foods.

It is important that you remember that by putting care and consideration towards your health and making sure that you do everything you can to keep yourself looking and feeling great, you will not only get longevity of life but will look great long the way. There are so many things that you can do to take care of yourself and keep yourself looking great. You can also work together with your doctor who will be able to prepare a nutrition and diet plan for you and help you to get the best results possible.
