What To Bring

Before you go on a luxury sailing expedition with the whole family, you need to do some shopping first. You will need some shoes that do not really mind getting wet and have rubber soles to keep you from slipping. You may not be expected to actually rig the boat during your luxury sailing trip but you will need to walk around the boat. You don't really want to mess up your luxury sailing trip by slipping on the floor and injuring your back.

Aside from buying the right kind of shoes for everyone in the family, you will need to get some swimming outfits. Since you are already at sea, you might as well do some swimming. Moreover, you need to pack some warm layered clothing with you when you go sailing. It can get quite cold out at sea at night. To make sure that you kids have the right clothing in their bags, check each of your kids' bags against a checklist. Do not just take things for granted.

To keep your skin from burning, buy enough sunscreen for the whole family. Your children are especially vulnerable to skin burns so make sure that you get them sunscreens that are especially formulated for kids. Aside from sunscreen, you will also need some wide brim hats and sunglasses with a cord to hold them in place. The ultra violet rays of the sun can cause severe skin problems so never go sailing without anything to protect your skin from the sun.
