Variations Of PaintballingRequirements To Play Paintball Paintballing requires the use of a paintball marker that is the main equipment for this game. The paintball marker uses compressed gas to emit small balls from the gun at a very high speed. These small balls are filled with a sort of dye or paint-like material and they burst open when they encounter a solid object. In this case, the solid objects are supposed to be the paintballing participants. Safety goggles and masks are other requirement when paintballing. These help to protect the participants from head injuries. Game Variations Paintballing has three variations to it, namely capture the flag, King of the Hill and elimination. These three paintballing variations are how the game is supposed to be played and what the objective of the current game is. Capture the flag variation requires the participants of each opposing team to retrieve a flag from a certain area (across the field or at the opposing team's base camp) and put it up on their respective team's camp. Elimination variant of paintballing requires players of each team to take out or eliminate all the members of the opposing team. King of the hill variant of paintballing requires that a team capture and hold onto an opposing team's camp. The longer they occupy an opposing team's camp and the more camps they occupy signifies a win. The amount of time that a team has control over another team's camp is calculated and this adds to a victory. Paintballing can be an exhilarating game that does foster sportsmanship. It s also a very safe game and there are seldom any injuries due to the safety gear that are used by the participants. There are paintballing rules and regulations regarding the makers to be used per game. Criticism of paintballing also hounds the game. This is due to the use of weapons similar to guns in the game. |
