In the United States of America, you have the New York Yacht Club established and launched in the year 1844. The early efforts to sail were less for pleasure and more for conquering new worlds by trade and war. If you want an adventurous vacation, you could always choose to sail to the corners of the world on a sturdy and comfortable yacht. Of course, such a venture is not for a person who has just finished his/her weekend sailing lessons, but only for veterans with hundreds of hours of sailing experience both on calm and rough seas. |
