Hence, you need to pack adequately for a cruise holiday - which is definitely much different from packing for a regular holiday. Start At The Top The first thing you should pay attention to when packing for sailing cruises is the weather to which you would be exposed. Most often than not it would be sunny and pleasant and that means you would have to pack your swimming suit for some great time sun-bathing on the decks. Then, take a look at the itinerary very carefully. What do you see? There would be a mention of each place that the yacht or ship would touch during the cruise. Accordingly, have clothes that match your each post destination. Accessories are very important while dressing up. Make sure you carry all you need and a few extra in carefully locked zip lock bags. In this way you would not feel inadequate because you have missed out on any accessory (which you conveniently find out only when you dress up)when you are getting ready for the many informal parties on board. Packing of clothes should include both formal and informal clothes - formal because the Captain would definitely give (you) all the guests a party either on arrival or on departure to thank you for choosing their ship for the cruise. Ensure that your pack very carefully so it would give any creases. If it does, use the ship's laundry service which would have your clothes back shining and ready in no time. Always have at least three-four changes in a handbag which you insist you would carry with yourself. This would assure you that you have at least a few clothes to change in case your luggage gets misplaced in transit or is stolen. |
