Sailing To Philadelphia Is Not Exactly About Sailing

If you hear about Sailing to Philadelphia, you need to know that this is not really about sailing. This is rather about a super hit album by that name sung by Mark Knofler. There is another song worth mentioning in this album, i.e. the title track song which has been extracted from a novel about the two famous English land surveyors which established the border between the North an South America since 1820 based on the existence and abolishment of slavery, which continued in the country until the Great American Civil War ended it completely.

You would find that 'Do America' which would have been the sixth song on the album has been replaced with 'One More Matinee' for both the USA and UK markets. In Europe the Sailing to Philadelphia album is as it was originally created without any replacement. Both the releases were instant hits and once again pushed Mark Knofner into stardom.

After this hit, Mark had brought out yet another album in 2005 which was once again a runaway success. This album focused on real life heroes such as Ray Kroc (the founder of the McDonald), Elvis Presley's manager Coloner Tom Parker, and so on.
