Purposes For Tanning Lamps

While many people use the sun's natural rays or indoor tanning beds to get an even overall tan, some people find that while the rest of their body tans at a fairly fast rate, their face takes a lot longer to darken up. So instead of subjecting their body to an overkill amount of full body tanning time, many people opt for the facial tanning lamps that are sold in stores and on the Internet. These tanning lamps can range from one hundred dollars to several hundred depending on the make and model that you decide to go with.

Simply placing your tanning lamp on an even and smooth surface, you are able to plug in and start treating your face to the extra attention it requires. By using a tanning lamp for about twenty minutes a day, every day, you can achieve the tanned look that the rest of your body has. And it is not just those who do full body tanning that use these lamps as there are people who are just looking for a soft touch of color in their face, even though the rest of their body is not tanned. With this, your face is able to look its best no matter what the weather is outside or if you cannot make it to the tanning bed.

How To Use

It is vital that you have your tanning lamp in a place where children cannot reach it, even when it isn't in use. The bulbs can be extremely hot once plugged in and can cause severe damage to a child that does not yet understand the danger of it. When in use, keep the tanning lamp on a level surface so it will not fall over which could result in damage to the unit or yourself. It is important to only remain in front of the lamp during your tanning period and do not over do it. Just like full body tanning beds, you can cause harm to your skin if used improperly.

Just as anyone would want to do with a tanning bed, you will want to keep the bulbs of your tanning lamp new in order to get the best use out of it. These bulbs are not too expensive so you should have no problem keeping up with its maintenance. Read over the owner's manual that comes with your particular tanning lamp model, as each make is slightly different. If there is any questions, concerns, or doubts about the product, you should always call the customer service number, which would be located in the manual or on the box it came in.
