There is a basic aim and purpose of Tantra yoga, which is to expand overall awareness in terms of all states of consciousness, and in order for this to be able to be accomplished there is a sort of deprogramming and reprogramming of the mind which needs to take place.

Tantra yoga provides the methodology that is required in order to make this work, as it teaches us to be able to properly identify the various different factors that influence our thoughts and feelings, and as well to transcend the obstacles to our evolution. This includes everything that arises from ignorance, intolerance and attachment to our human nature, and truly, by refining our thoughts and feelings by means of these practices, we are thus able to learn how to create peace and harmony in our own and others' lives.
